This loving image fronts a vacant lot on International Blvd. in East Oakland. All around the man and his truck is a poem written in three colors as if one line is echoing the other. I couldn't read much of it because of the angle of the sun in my eyes but I thought the image had a lot of dignity. And I liked that it fronts on a lot that looks green and lush as if he were out in a field.

ReplyDeleteI too like the way it blends with its surroundings.
ReplyDeleteA clever angle for the photo, it adds to a powerful image.
ReplyDeleteI think the guy is making a screen print. Nice the way the poem is following the contour of the objects. Something you see oft in aboriginal art with dots. I like it.
ReplyDeleteA very nice one!
