Weekend Reflection: tiled entry

A wonderful old apartment building in East Oakland.  The entry of this building is decorated with vintage California tiles, many of which were manufactured in the Bay Area,  This building is located at about 7th Ave., E. 24th St. and Ivy.  The reflection was an added bonus.  For other reflective photos, visit Weekend Reflections, a creative meme with many participants.

    I love the tiles and mosaics of these last two entries. Also great that you give the address. I have no concept of Oakland or anything about it, other than your website. If we ever visit, I'll need to study your blog first. Keep these interesting posts coming!

    The header over the doorway looks like stainless steel. Odd pairing with the tile if it is, but it works.

    Wow! It could pass for a Mediterranean country like Spain or Portugal. You have shown several surprising tiled places in Oakland. Nice!

    The steel (nickel plate?) door and valance is neat, and cools down the heat of the tiles.
