While walking in Chinatown the other day, I came upon a trove of new (at least to me) murals. Here's one of Bruce Lee on the second story of a building. It's best seen from a distance hence the fencing, flagpole, and other junk in the photo. Because it's on a one way street going the wrong way, you spot it out of the corner of your eye and it makes your head spin. Couldn't find a signature.

Some murals are in awful locations.
ReplyDeleteOften it is difficult to get clear photos of murals because of the intruding objects. I think that you got a very good picture of Bruce Lee.
ReplyDeleteSuper mural...and good photo in spite of all the obstacles!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity they didn't paint the mural a bit further up to avoid all those obstacles. Still, a nice mural. Thanks for hosting ODP.
ReplyDeleteAnd a strong impression it makes.
ReplyDeleteNice one! A good discovery!
ReplyDeleteThe Dragon looks quite displeased.
ReplyDeleteNice take on Mr. Lee. I feel a bit intimidated by his intense stare!
ReplyDeleteIt's part of a 99 Dragons Project mural. One of the lower panels has 'Eugor', not a name I'm familiar with. As you've noted elsewhere, with 99 Dragons they have an established artist oversee the mural, and have local schoolkids to design and paint the mural. https://oaklandwiki.org/Bruce_Lee_Mural
