Monday mural: Oaksterdam
The Oaksterdam mural, previously shown in progress, is now complete. The artists are R.B. Moore III and Munir Sharif Munir. The nascent controversy faded away, and now most people seem to like it. What do you think?

Wow, it's huge, and very colourful- I like it. But what are the NY NY references for? Broadway, the Flatiron- does Oakland have its own?

I like it, too, but I am puzzled by the name. It it's a reference to Amsterdam, I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteWow! I am less a fan of "street art" than many people seem to be, but within the genre, this is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteBetter than graffiti, anyway :-)) I might see it tomorrow when I visit some parts of Oakland.
ReplyDeleteI like it! Like your shot too. The cars look like they're part of the mural!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photo!
