This mural decorates the Clinica de la Raza medical clinic in the Fruitvale. It was the first clinic in Oakland designed to serve Spanish-speaking clients. Its many services have grown over the years and it now serves much of East Oakland.
I am always amazed that our bay area has become so inundated with these wonderful La Raza murals, they speak volumes of the history of the culture, and the appreciation of the arts to preserve it.
That must be an interesting clinic to visit! If I ever come there I would have to learn Spanish just to visit this on :-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed! The mural is great! Wow, thank so much :)

The Latin American-style murals you have shown us are so wonderfully vibrant.
