Temescal Creek runs down from the hills and eventually flows into Lake Temescal, featured
here. This spot is in the Thornhill Drive neighborhood mentioned in this week's Monday Mural. Most of the homes along the creek look like they were built in the 20s and 30s. Hard to believe that this house is only two blocks from a major freeway.
Great pic. Captures the creek and the feel of that neighborhood nicely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful composition, Carolyn. Love that moss-covered tree.
ReplyDeleteIm California anything could be near a major freeway but all that moss makes the location look quite remote.
ReplyDeleteA huge tree covered with moss, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWith all those greens comes beautiful air to breath in !
ReplyDeleteLovely but around here, a couple of days of rain and that tree might just fall over. It's amazing the huge old trees that just come out of the ground here.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you mentioned the freeway. This gives the look of being in a remote locale. Love all that organic green
ReplyDeleteWell freeway or not, I'd love to hear that trickle from my bedroom window! Such a lovely, lush photo!
ReplyDeleteThat green is sooo soooothing. Yeah, hard to believe this is just a stone's throw from the freeway. Could you hear it?
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful moss!
ReplyDeleteThat tree is a wee bit creepy
ReplyDeleteThe grand old tree in the photo looks amazing. The moss adds so much to it.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe it's so close to the creek too! It is a lovely, charming spot!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful textured photo! I love the detail of the moss on the tree.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully shaped tree!
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot of this beautiful path way!
ReplyDeleteLove the mossy tree!
