Monday Mural: Leaning Tower of Pizza

Don't ask me why a place called the Leaning Tower of Pizza would have a mural of Venice; but it is what it is.  Hey, it's all Italy, right?   It's a fun canvas in a lakeside neighborhood that primarily has apartment buildings and private homes.  This mural, done in 2001, is in the neighborhood where most of the gnomes live.

  7. I see Pisa around the corner ... even if Venice doesn't make sense in the context of the restaurant's name, it is a beautifully detailed scene.

  8. Actually, Venice is just that canal on the left. I wonder where the bridge on the right is. Maybe Verona.

  10. Lots of detail in this mural. Love the vibrancy. Better than a plain block wall.

  15. It feels like it was done by someone that had never been to Italy but had lots and lots of pictures, so they compiled a montage. None the less, it is really kind of fun.

  16. The colors, detail and graphics in this mural are fascinating. Who cares if it is not authentic... the scene certainly brightens up the neighborhood.
