The Oakland Museum's recently renovated natural history gallery highlights the ecology of several specific locations in California. This is a still shot of a video about the coral reefs of the Cordell Bank which is a marine sanctuary off the coast just north of San Francisco. The colors astonished me given that the waters off Northern California are very cold. Who knew there was a kaleidoscope of color under the surface of the water?
