ABC Wednesday: P is for Park Street Bridge

Can't help myself; it's the Park Street Bridge again.  There's something about the color and silhouette that keeps calling me back.  This time we even have pedestrians perambulating the path across the bridge.  Visit ABC Wednesday for other "P" subjects from around the world.

  1. Fascinating structure, love the green color too.
I see the pedestrians coming, I'd better go!

  3. We have a bridge similar to this - Newport Bridge in Middlesbrough. Great example of early 20th century engineering.

  5. Good choice, Carolyn - and «Louis» agrees that it is an interesting structure. He hates driving across it, though - that metal mesh surface isn't a pleasant driving experience, even short as it is.

  13. It is my fave color and it looks great from any angle :-), so what's not to keep you from shooting it as much as you like? I love seeing different takes on the same subject.

  15. That is my favorite color green, I call it jadeite green. As you could tell from my blog header I do love jadeite. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I always enjoy the company.

  16. Yes, I understand this kind of compulsion to see something that 'speaks' to us - and civil engineering has certainly produced a lot of compelling structures. Thanks for going back there!

  20. It's a perfect photo of a photogenic bridge. Don't you just love walking across bridges (in nice weather)? I did the 5 mile walk over the Vincent Thomas bridge just so I can WALK the bridge (there is no pedestrian track on that one).
