ReplyDeleteGreat photo! The Victorians' sentimentality (which is often quite touching) is all summed up in this one tomb...
ReplyDeleteHow heartbreaking, but such a beautiful monument.
ReplyDeleteBeneath Thy Feet
I am sure this was a great comfort to Louisa's mother.
ReplyDeleteshe looks a little older than five, but it is a nice touch to have her and her puppy together.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad, but it must have given the parents some comfort.
ReplyDeletePoignant.
ReplyDeleteA sad one.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, poignant. I do hope the dog did not succumb to the same illness/disease as did Louise. How sad to think that her parents may have received some consolation from this statue. The mason had a way with his tools.
