Sometime in the last couple of years or so, these colorful crosswalks have appeared in the Fruitvale district. You can't mistake where you're supposed to cross the street. These designs look Moorish too me, reminiscent of what can be found in Spain.
I was in Fruitvale yesterday looking at the future Latino Cultural center, and noticed these all over the area. I love them, the colors are wonderful, the patterns vary, realy, really a nice addition
I love these very colourful crosswalks. Because of the winters here, in Canada, they wouldn't last very long.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a crosswalk as lovely as this one. Hats off to the author(s) and also to whom has allowed it.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. It deserves continuation on other places. Thanks for showing.
ReplyDeletethat's great and fully accessible too with the dropped kerbs
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea ... beautiful art and serves a purpose, too.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this before. Beautiful and a good way to catch someone's attention to cross the street at the crosswalk.
