Weekend Reflections: USS Potomac

The USS Potomac was Franklin Roosevelt's yacht during his presidency.  It is now berthed at Jack London Square.  In the late afternoon, the sunlight reflected off the water shimmers on its port side; and the water shimmers with the ship's reflection.  Cool, huh?  For more photos with reflections, check out James' meme Weekend Reflections.

  2. You are right... cool eh. It reminds me that next summer I will be driving through the state of Maine going to Campobello Island. I want to visit the Roosevelt Campobello International Park. Can you imagine this park is in Canada? As they say on the web site "memorial to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and to a lasting symbol of the close and neighborly relations between the peoples of Canada and the United States of America."

  6. Great shot. I grew up not too far from the Potomac River. I like seeing some of these old vessels restored and maintained for future generations to experience.
