steel and lace

I thought this was an incredible paint job on this vintage car.  It reminds me of Chantilly lace.  Spotted at the car show during Art Murmur.

  2. Fabulous!
The car is most likely a '49 Chevy, though GM used that body shell up to and including the '52s.

While on the subject of retro cars...

  3. Wonderful. I am thinking a Buick of that vintage Louis said. I have the exact same seat cover in the back of my car too.

  4. That is unusual. I wonder if adding a non-original paint job does something good or bad to the value of the car.

    1. a bad non-original would kill the value. But a high quality paint job like this one should bring extra, very talented painter

  6. Such contrast between the material of the car and what looks like lace ... hard and soft.

  7. Oh yes I like this a lot, how cool to 'cruise' in this old beauty!

  8. It reminds me of the laced wings of an insect. This paint job would look great on a VW Beetle.

  9. It's definitely a magnificent vintage car. The paint job is truly amazing and looks very charming! The car is already a sight to behold being a classic, but the paint job enhances it even more. The deluxe design adds character to this vino. I wonder if other cars in the event were as grand as this.
