With a reet pleat? Siegel's is a tuxedo rental store on Grand Avenue. Turns out they make custom zoot suits too. Probably for those who are into swing dancing, which is big on the west coast. Pretty snappy, wouldn't you say? For more Z photos, check out
ABC Wednesday. The alphabet starts all over again next week. Woohoo.
How original! ABC Wednesday surely has us all doing some hard thinking! Great to see you are aboard for Round 8!

Hubba hubba a Zoot suit! The one I remember the most is from Steven Spielberg's movie 1941.
ReplyDeleteSomeone else had zoot suit for their selection; what a hoot! Haven't thought about them for years and two in one day!! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteDon't start any riots wearing your zoot suit!

I must that I had to Google Zoot before I oould really appreciate your post - but then I did :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! Zoot suit. I wouldn't have thought of it in a million years. And to have a sign in a store window. You must have jumped with joy!

I would be quite willing to join the 'Bring Zoot Suits Back' movement.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA!!!
ReplyDelete«Louis» had forgotten about Siegel's and their Zoot suits!
A Zoot suit - not for «Louis» thank you. He's no longer svelte enough to wear one, for starters....
Now that is one Flashy Zoot Suit.... Great choice for our last letter Z!
ReplyDeleteCrazy color. Great Z post.
ReplyDeleteZoot suits always remind me of Kid Creole (and the Coconuts). :-)
ReplyDeleteAn amazing post! I had no idea they could still be purchased. But, then, why not? :)
ReplyDeleteThat is one fabulous zoot suit.
ReplyDeleteI doubt there are many zoot suits left to buy, so a new custom order would be needed. A zany suit, to say the least.
ReplyDeleteI just don't think I am the Zoot Suit kind of guy. It is a nice photo.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to wear a Zoot Suit (don't see why gals can't), this is one I'd go for. I have the orange converse shoes to go with them.
