Monday Mural: welcome to Oakland

This mural is found near the border of Oakland and San Leandro on Bancroft Avenue.  If you can read the writing below "Welcome to Oakland," let me know.  The silhouette of the port cranes is pretty iconic for Oakland.  Note the Bay Bridge tower on the left.  It's soon to be replaced by a new and taller tower.

  3. Me, either. I can't decode it. I remember "Star Wards" type port cranes photos you posted before!!

  4. If the first three commenters came up dry, then I don't think I will try. But, it is an interesting photo. Oakland should brand itself the Mural City.

  6. Great colors on this wall mural, but no, no points for legibility. :-)

  7. I painted this in 2009.
The bottom portion noone can read says "Rush" "Kesr" and "Thes". We have recently redone it and it features a BART octopus and the new Bay bridge eastern span.
    check it out.

    109th and Bancroft.
