Well, everything costs more these days. I do see they have cane or bamboo handles so perhaps they're designer brooms! Also red or green probably commands a higher price!
Most definitely sounds pricey to me... can't afford those brooms! YiKeS! =)
Thanks so much for stopping by & commenting... Those early years are somewhat lost in my knowledge... I didn't like history in school, but I love it, now! Go figure! LoL! =)
I just got back from the flea market and there was a gentleman making brooms that looked a lot like these. Various colors and even brooms with several colors throughout them. They were gorgeous and very well made. He was charging $20. If I had been in the market for a broom, I would have willingly paid that amount for a good quality one. Some of the Amish brooms back East are known to last for 20 years. If these are of the same quality, a dollar a year for 20 years ain't bad!
uh, no....
ReplyDeleteHowever, «Louis» would happily pay $27.50 for the display piece!

ReplyDeleteHorribly pricey, but I am with Louis - love the display and would happily pay for it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are made in the good ol' USA instead of China.

Unfortunately, I can't see the picture but $27.50 does sound like a lot. I am guessing it is one of those swifter things.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is too much for a broom (and these look like pretty ordinary brooms to me!).
ReplyDeleteOk. I can see them now! I'll take A red one they're cute!
ReplyDeleteI would pay that for the stand, but not the broom (although they are colourful!)
ReplyDeleteThey look like handmade brooms. Pretty nice if you like hand work.
ReplyDeleteNice blog!
ReplyDeleteRather expensive, but I think it is a hype, so you must pay for it, it looks like an Indian plumage!
Nice weekend,
Maria
They must be an excellent quality!
ReplyDeleteI dunno. I can't remember if I've ever bought a broom. The implicit "solidarity forever" theme is appealing, though.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I've ever seen red or green brooms. Perhaps that increases the price somehow? Nice photo.
