We're in for several days of rain, which we dearly need. In looking for a restaurant that we didn't find, we encountered this array of new shops just off Telegraph at 48th. Lots of vintage stores, which is right up my alley. So was this giant metal bird that shows off the cloudy skies. For more sky shots from around the world, visit

Nice shot, but from a distance it looks like a lady bug!
ReplyDeleteLovely capture! Happy sky watching.

What Fun!
ReplyDeleteMy thought too, like Ebie, it looks more like a ladybug.
ReplyDeleteWay cool, Oakland Daily. I just LOVE artwork like this. Oh, and I'll take a spin through those vintage stores ANY day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to Greensboro Daily Photo. You are a good friend-- even if it is virtual!
from the thumb nails, I thought a bird settled on the TV aerial andn wanted to ask if it affected the reception. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt looked more like a beetle to me :-)
ReplyDeleteFine repetition of the red colour.
Ya, beetle? Beatle? John, Paul George... Bad joke. I know.
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage shops also. Enjoy the rain, I can't tell you how I'm looking forward to our first rainy days, it's been soooooo long now. Love the 'ladybug' weather vane, original idea for sure!
ReplyDeleteA Cardinal of a different sort! Love him - great find.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beetle to me too. Strange birds out your way.
ReplyDeleteI like how it's the same colour as the brick. I'm happy for your rain!
ReplyDeleteIn getting lost, it appears you found a treasure! Love this little red bird... great discovery.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
