vintage train

This vintage train car was part of a traveling art installation/happening traveling from New York to Oakland.  I tried to take pictures of the other cars but got shooed away.  Because I left my hard hat and steel toed shoes at home, I wasn't allowed into the area.  Pity.  I was hoping to see an interior.  As for the art happening itself, it was sold out.  Snake eyes.

  1. This is a real classic. I remember these coaches from when I was a kid. The toilets used to flush onto the railway ties below. There were signs not to flush them when they were stopped in the stations.

    Breves saludos

  3. Neat. Imagine having your own car and being able to travel the country in it.

  4. I would love to make a long journey by train, the more vintage the better. The Orient Express or the Rovos Rail would be my ultimate wishes! :-)

  5. Uhhhh, I don't understand that at all, but it doesn't matter, because you were able to get a very nice photo of this car.
