This graceful old house anchors a corner in the Bella Vista neighborhood of East Oakland. Love that oval hallway window. Oakland has tons of old and pre-1906 earthquake houses. The skies are still blue and dry. The temperature reached 75 today. Hardly a typical winter, and a harbinger of drought. Linked to
Skywatch Friday.
It is a very appealing house!

ReplyDeleteSo strange...I'm visiting friends in the Tampa area and it as near freezing last night. After six months in India, I am cold intolerant. I'm staying with my son, DIL, and grandbaby in West Sac for a few months and it is REALLY cold at night up there. It's always good to get home to the Bay area, though, and I love the old houses.
ReplyDeleteMy SWF is of the wolf moon.
Must say that while vintage auto in the leaves is framable from 1/15. Wow!
ReplyDeleteThis house is lovely. It would easily fit into the streetscape of Prospect Avenue in Hartford and West Hartford.
