lovely old house

This graceful old house anchors a corner in the Bella Vista neighborhood of East Oakland.  Love that oval hallway window.  Oakland has tons of old and pre-1906 earthquake houses.  The skies are still blue and dry.  The temperature reached 75 today.  Hardly a typical winter, and a harbinger of drought.  Linked to Skywatch Friday.

  2. That is a wonderfully cared for old home. Nice to see. I always like to see the use of several colors too.

  6. So strange...I'm visiting friends in the Tampa area and it as near freezing last night. After six months in India, I am cold intolerant. I'm staying with my son, DIL, and grandbaby in West Sac for a few months and it is REALLY cold at night up there. It's always good to get home to the Bay area, though, and I love the old houses.

My SWF is of the wolf moon.

  8. This house is lovely. It would easily fit into the streetscape of Prospect Avenue in Hartford and West Hartford.
