ABC Wednesday: T is for Transmission Service

This homemade service sign is located on Foothill Blvd. near Fairfax Avenue in East Oakland.   The guy who owns this shop has a sense of humor.  Does this qualify as folk art?  For more "T" photos, check ABC Wednesday.

  8. Oh, I think it does - how clever. A local chiropractor carved a spine in the trunk of a dead tree. I love original stuff like this!

  12. I love this sign. And yeah, I think it's art. At the very least, it's Americana.

  13. That's funny, and it definitely qualifies as folk art. Thank heavens for the people who fell free to express themselves (CDP colleagues included).

  16. oday's transmission is fitted with numerous parts most of which are computer controlled. So if you are facing some problem with the transmission never base your decision on the price suggested over the phone.
