Although the Thanksgiving holiday is not celebrated everywhere, I'm sure the practice of counting your blessings is pretty universal. The pilgrims celebrated their survival. I try to practice gratitude for the primary things in life. Like a snug home, good health, companionship, food enough, and an occasional pretty thing to put on the table. What are you thankful for?
Beautiful Thanksgiving spread. Hope my table looks something like this tomorrow afternoon! Wish me luck... I'm cooking the turkey. I can't say it any better than you did. Thanks for the simple things are best, especially people who care about me and people for me to care about. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and to your country !!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you. thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteCan you send over a piece of that pie? I'd be grateful, for sure! As I am about a gazillion small details in my life... as well as the biggies of being deeply loved by the ones I love deeply. Let every day be a day of giving thanks. But do enjoy the special day.
ReplyDelete... among other things, a pie like that.
ReplyDeleteSave me a piece of pie!! Hoping you and yours have an equally enjoyable celebration today with your family and friends that I will with mine!
ReplyDeleteYour table is festive for the occassion and the pie looks delicious. I am sure that it was shared in a spirit of thankfulness.
ReplyDeleteI was thankful earlier this week that my 24-hour trip to Berkley and back home did not hit a snag with that pesky Bay Bridge... I waved at you as I drove by.
