We've gone from balmy to rainy with big winds that got a little scary. If we get a few more days of mild weather, my last round of roses should bloom. Always a welcome sight in any weather. As is this vista of the bay. For more sky views, or to post your own, visit
Skywatch Friday.
nice one for SWF! Happy weekend! Hoping you can visit my skywatch post.
ReplyDeleteMakes for a great photo. Sounds like NC and CA are in the same weather band.......
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a welcome sight, your city and bay under a big sky!
ReplyDelete[To answer your question on my SWF post, I used a circular polarizing filter to temper the glare of the sun, and it also made the sunset color look a little richer than it really was. The result was serendipitous, because I'm still not very proficient at using this new lens.]
Yep, those winds were nasty and made a terrible mess. I got it all cleaned up before the rain was to come. Even cleaned out the rain gutters, another piece of nastiness. So what happened to the promised rain? I'll take the mild days to refer to anyday.
ReplyDeleteYes, the change in weather is welcome. Those big winds didn't seem to make it out our way in CoCo County. I love your shot. The variations in lighting are terrific as is the vast view of the bay and SF.
ReplyDeleteWhat a vista, Carolyn! Perfect SWF post. ;-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot of the bay. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOakland and the Occupy movement have been in the news hourly in the past few days. (In third place behind Greece and Herman Cain.) Some has been positive, but some has been scary. Be safe, Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteConsider yourself lucky... we went to SNOW!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is quite some panorama. I'm tring to imagine it before buildings - just think what it must have been like to set eyes on this for the first time.
