Jingletown attracts artists and kindred souls. A collaborative effort among them created multiple murals along this wall. Drolly named the "Oakland Riviera" (referencing the estuary that runs the length of the neighborhood), this section of mural captures the local view. These murals line a dog run dubbed rue de merde. On the left you can see a glimpse of the section dedicated to local canine friends. It's always interesting to visit this wall, as the murals continue to change and be refined.

This mural must have been done very recently. The colours look so fresh. Comparing it to your local view the artist did a great job.
ReplyDeleteLovely idea and a good sense of humour the locals have : "rue de merde" and Oakland riviera. Thanks for hosting Monday Murals in 2012- it's been great fun!

ReplyDeleteLove that part of town, great capture! Rue de Merde indeed :-). A far more eloquent name than we gave Islais Creek (our estuary) in SF
ReplyDeleteNice one! I'm giving the murals a pass today but will be back with you next week!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many beautiful murals in your area!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
