Monday Mural: courtyard paste-up

There are several pieces of art in the beer garden courtyard of Telegraph, an Uptown joint that serves artisanal sausages.  This wheat paste image is done by Colla.  A new piece was going up on another wall and the artists were totally copasetic about my taking pictures.

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme's for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  You decide what constitutes a mural.  Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to the murals posted this week.  Once you start looking, it's amazing how many you can find.

  1. Just saw that (and the one in progress) the other day. Unfortunately the rain started a while after I left, but it doesn't seem to have done any major damage.

  2. Love this. These folks have made-in-Oakland tee shirts, and their company is called fiftyseventhirtythree. One of them has the terrific slogan "If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission."

  3. Good to hear that the artists were cooperative about having their photos taken! Nice mural!

  4. I love the rebel-like grittiness of this one and the retro ghetto blaster that's featured. Sound like quite a cool bunch of artists.

  5. Very interesting mural - they seem to have covered several things in one mural - the old-fashioned boom-box, the mask and gloves, the tattoos...very creative. Makes for interesting viewing in a courtyard at least!

  6. That is really powerful. It looks like you took it in a courtyard in Asia, I am having a hard time seeing where the wheat paste ends and the actual environment begins. Great capture.
