Nature undeterred


When walking to my car near Chinatown, a flash of red caught my eye.  This ivy clings to the wall of a freeway on-ramp, persisting though never tended to.  How does it survive all that carbon monoxide?

    It is very beautiful, no matter the carbon monoxide. I would be more worried about the city ranger who might come and fine it for growing past the turn sign!!
