ABC Wednesday: H is for Hansen Coffee

The Hansen Coffee Company continues to roast coffee daily near Jack London Square.  In business since 1894, the area the factory is in was formally a heavily industrial neighborhood.  Now it is primarily devoted to retail businesses, many of which are struggling to keep their heads above water.

  1. This reminds «Louis» that he's never learned where Hansen sells their coffees. They must keep a very low profile - but somehow they are still around. Unlike Peerless or «Louis'» own local roaster, he's never known of anyone using Hansen coffee.

  4. Locally roasted coffee beans make for the best coffee. And such places seem to located quite uniquely, too.

  5. Well despite their lack of percolating business I appreciate that very cool looking neon coffee pot ad - an urban art form.
