ABC Wednesday: P is for Park Street bridge

You've seen this bridge before here and here.  But I don't think you've seen it with the road bed up.  This bridge was built in the late 1930s and still works really well.  Today a small sailboat with a tall mast stopped traffic.  Visit more "P" posts at Mrs. Nesbitt's ABC Wednesday meme.

  1. When I find myself at a spot like this, I rush to open the sunroof and click away. People must think I am a madman.

  2. BTW, the volunteer Friends of this park plant the tulips, dig them up at the end of the season, sell them after they have dried out, and buy new ones with the proceeds, for planting in the fall. A nice botanic and philanthropic circle.

  3. Dear ODP:

I love the bridge shot. I love to learn the unique features of the city daily photo cities!

I hope you will consider the "street-a-letter" for ABC Wednesday. It really works wonders for getting to know your city as well as teaching others about it.
