Skywatch Friday: style layers

Downtown Oakland has a wonderful melange of old buildings, and some not so great new ones.  See what I mean?  The clouds indicate that into each of our lives some rain must fall, maybe over the weekend.  For more sky clues, check Skywatch Friday.

  5. I like these 2 bldgs. Obviously prior generations put in more time & thought to their buildings.

  6. This a really great. Alone, the modern building is perhaps bland, but the two work nicely together, as you have shown here.

  7. Great shot. I've noticed similar styles in Boston too, and you usually overlook unless seeing it through a camera lens.

  8. Indeed, some of the new buildings in Oakland are depressingly of the "Stacked Ice Cube Tray School of Architecture" while many of the old ones, as the one in your photo, are quite nice.
