R is for Rooz Cafe

One of my favorite coffee houses.  An easy walk from the house, usually open tables, low noise, rotating art shows, and a great tuna salad sandwich.  What's not to like?  The fact that it just closed.  Supposedly another coffee house will open in its place.  There's another Rooz in town but that means getting in the car and driving.  I'd rather walk.  Linked with ABC Wednesday.

  2. How disappointing! A new coffee house just opened up in my village so am looking forward to checking it out as an alternative to Starbucks! And it's within walking distance, too!

  6. I hope a new one will open quickly... I like to take a good cafe too, but in Switzerland the prizes are amazing, 5$ for one cafe !

  8. It's too bad when a place one enjoys closes its doors. Well, at least now you'll get more exercise!! Kate, ABC Team

  9. I love when I find a coffee house with good coffee and ambiance that I can walk to. It will take something pretty spectacular to replace this one,I am thinking.

  10. This looks like a delightful place. So sorry it has closed. It's rough for small businesses to stay open in this economy.

  14. Oh no, don't you hate when that happens! Wonder if it was owned by Aussies...the name 'roos' as in kangaroos?
