Monday Mural: mosaic advertising

Jingletown is full of artist studios along with newly constructed condos.  The mosaic studio has done a lot of projects to spruce up what was once a neglected area of town.  I liked it when I saw this business sign using the mosaic technique.  An interesting, if not unexpected, junction between art and an industrial business.

Welcome to Monday Mural: if you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme's for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  You decide what constitutes a mural.  Once you start looking, you find them everywhere.  Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. 1. Love the bright colours and strong design. I haven't seen a mosaic mural before.

  3. That's a very artistic ad; one that would attract 'my' attention. :)

    1. Thank you so much for coming by my post for the week -- the one from your city -- the Oaksterdam one.

I see you've written that it's weird to see your own photo reposted. I just came by to say that that sounded a little weird to me. It was a picture I shot ( the one that I put up) a few years back. I was just wondering if you were trying to say I plagiarised your photograph...?

Thank you for hosting this meme. It's been a great opportunity to show my blog's visitors some public art that I've come across on my trips. Thanks again.

      Have a good week. :)

  4. A great idea for an advertising sign. They really did a great job with the mosaics, especially on the fork lift

  7. An advertising as mosaic is very old. I think I saw one in Pompeii but not with all the bright colors indeed as you have here. Nice one.
