Stair banister in Oakland's art deco Paramount Theater. All the original metal details in this restored theater are made of aluminum. Submitted to Weekend Reflections and Black and White Weekend.
The gentle curves of Art Deco is always pleasing to the eyes and you have accomplished both a b/w and a reflection in this great photo. I have been concentrating on Art Deco in Paris lately, having only recently discovered just how abundant it is.
Very cool details with the reflections. It's been decades since I've been at the Paramount. Last time I was there, we saw Tower of Power perform - the original band. I need to get out there again and take a look at it.
Deco definitely grows on you. This is a very attractive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine image, Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteWith a bit of cropping, this would make a good Qu'est-ce que c'est? entry.
