Here is another mural along 15th Street done by the Love Oakland group. The little guy looks scared as he aims for the stars. But his mentor and guiding spirit exude confidence. A bonus is the ghost sign left on the wall.

ReplyDeleteThe poor kid does look scared. Neat mural though. MB
ReplyDeleteThe kid looks scared & hungry and the mentor looks mean and oppressive, not a mural I would like.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a real good expression on the kid's face. This artist has talent.
ReplyDeletethat's a good one
ReplyDeleteGreat detail, and fills the space well without damaging the old sign.
ReplyDeleteI really like this one and as you say, the way the ghost sign has been preserved adds tot he appeal.

I like the expressions on the faces. Wishing you a happy new year and look forward to more murals in 2014. Cheers
ReplyDeleteI think the mentor looks patient, funny how we all interpret it differently. I really like this one, it's a slice of life with a little mysticism thrown in. Happy Monday!
